Paulo Diaz’s Skateboarding Career started in the Early 80’s. He was sponsored by L.A. Skate Co & Rene’s Skate Shop on Melrose.

Paulo was discovered along with Rudy Johnson, Guy Mariano and Gabriel Rodriguez (RIP) when Stacy Peralta happened into Rene’s records and a video was playing of the 4 of them Skateboarding in and around Los Angeles. Stacy put the 4 of them in Early Powell Peralta Videos (Ban This & Propaganda) and soon they were Skateboarding Legends. This crew was doing tricks that were way ahead of the Skaters in that era and doing it on 10 inch boards.

Paulowas part ofthe 1st Chocolate team. Mike York, Chico Brenes, Gabriel Rodriguez (RIP),Gino Ianucci, Keenan Milton (RIP), Paulo Diaz.
